Last week we photographed a beautiful wedding in Monroe, Connecticut at the Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel , followed by an elegant reception at Roberto’s Restaurant and Banquet Facilities also in Monroe. Couples ask what we need to do to prepare for the best photography coverage on the wedding day. At Heartprint Wedding Photography we will provide you with an information page to fill out detailing any emergency contacts, as well as cell phone numbers of trusted friends or relatives, as well as any last minute requests you may have for us, and encourage the couple to provide a short list of what you would consider the “must have” and “would really love to have” shots for your wedding. Additionally, If at all possible, we like to visit the wedding site and venue prior to the actual day, meet with your coordinator, officiant, manager to confirm specific policies and meet the people we will be working with on your big day. We also like to scout out possible locations for the portrait shots, as well as take a few test shots to determine lighting requirements. Even if we have been to the same venue for past weddings, as seasons and times vary, so will photographic requirements. These images are from this location’s test shots. Enjoy!

Here is one of our recent favorite newborn images!  The newborn baby sleeping on the lambswool rug, and the deep warm wood tones of the basket and floor really add a richness to this image.  Can’t you just image it hanging on the wall in the baby’s room?

This image from a wedding at the Colonial Tavern in Oxford, New Haven County, Connecticut is one of our favorites of the day! The Colonial Tavern has a lovely loft for the wedding party to use prior to the ceremony. The loft is beautiful with lots of natural light, a fireplace, a long oval dressing mirror…a really nice, spacious room for the wedding party to get ready and relax in prior to the actual ceremony.
