Lisa and Javier are an easy-going, casual couple that are both fun and quick to laugh.  Their engagement session, that we photographed just a few days ago, reflected their light, whimsical style.  The Spring evening was chilly but full of amazingly dramatic light as the sun was setting, something we were able to capture to the fullest.  We are looking forward to photographing their Southbury, CT wedding followed by a reception at The Hopkins Inn across from Lake Waramaug in Warren CT this summer!

Hopkins Inn, an enchanting 19th century country inn overlooking Lake Waramaug in Connecticut’s Litchfield hills.

Sitting high above the northern shore of Lake Waramaug, the Hopkins Inn has welcomed travelers since 1847.  Guests enjoy expansive views of the lake, the Berkshire foothills, and neighboring vineyards from the dining areas and guest rooms.  In addition, guests have access to the waters of the lake through the Hopkins Inn beach, located a short distance from the inn.  Adirondack chairs on the lawn provide a pleasant afternoon’s rest and are just steps above the sandy shoreline.

The restaurant is renowned for its contemporary Austrian cuisine, reflecting Franz’s heritage. The picture windows in the Victorian dining room offer a panoramic view of Lake Waramaug. When the weather is pleasant, guests may dine outside on a flagstone terrace shaded by a grand horse chestnut tree. In the cooler months, a roaring fire in the Tavern Room provides a warm and intimate atmosphere.

This last week has been something of a baby boom here at Heartprint!  One of the most gratifying parts has been that every one is a past client or a very close friend of a past clients…thank you all for spreading the love!

Q: Can friends and relatives view our images?

A: We offer Online Viewing and Ordering of your images at no extra charge.  You can send friends and relatives to our website to order and pay for images themselves.

A: Absolutely!  When our digital collections are purchased, you will receive two copies of each full resolution image, one in color and another in black & white. You will also receive a third copy of each image, the third being reduced and optimized for sharing online. Q: Are prints from these labs the same as the prints we would order from you?

A: Unfortunately, no.  As professionals we have access to the finest professional only processing labs in the country.  When you order your portraits and images directly from Heartprint Photography they are guaranteed to be printed on archival quality professional paper and  finished with a luster coating to protect your investment from fingerprints and UV lighting.  Any image 8X10 and larger comes mounted for protection and stability. We can only guarantee the quality of the finished product when ordered directly from us.

Q:  Do you offer Pet Photography?

A: We LOVE photographing pets, and we take the same approach to photographing your beloved pet as we would any other member of your family! We capture the unique personality of your pet and, if you like,  the special bond they have with you, and your family. Once you let us know you would like to participate in the registry, we give you a website link to your own personal registry gallery.  If you have already done an engagement session with us it will be personalized with a picture of you and your fiancée!  You pass on the link to your guests. If you have a wedding website most couples will have a section dedicated to places they are registered.  You simply add our name and link to that list.  If you would prefer, we will provide you with Heartprint registry cards that you can either have passed out or include with the invitations.

Your guests can then, at their leisure, log on to your gallery, view and purchase registry gifts choosing any dollar amount they would like. They have the option of paying right online with a credit card, or they can send a check or money order to the address provided.  The buyer has the choice of receiving  a beautiful customized gift announcement card to give to the couple themselves, or have us send the announcement directly to the couple. We are just a few short weeks away from the start of the new wedding season, and we can’t wait!  We start out in May with a wedding at Brooklyn Botanical Garden, then another at Cascade and just keep on going through October.  The couples who have come in to visit us recently our Bridal Viewing Room know that we have some really great new products and fun plans in place for the new wedding season!
